Intec shares dipped when it announced the purchase of customer-billing software provider Singl.eView in September. Although the telecoms software company had successfully integrated numerous small-scale acquisitions in the past, investors were worried that Intec may have bitten off more than it could chew with the $75m deal. So far, the pessimists have been proved wrong - Singl.eView broke even in its first month within Intec, and was profitable in its second. But management admits that it got lucky. News of the deal was leaked to the press three months before the scheduled takeover, which enabled management to begin the much-needed restructuring process well before completion. "All we could do was improve this business," said chief executive Kevin Adams.
