The first half was all about preparation for Aerobox, which makes plastic containers for the airline industry. The product range has been refined, the production facilities have been improved, and the boxes have finally received approval from the US Federal Aviation Authority.

The second, more challenging, half will be all about selling. Aerobox already has $1.5m (GBP848,000) of orders from high-profile clients, including American Airlines and Virgin Atlantic. But these sales have been achieved at little or no profit. Newly-appointed managing director Ray Gibbs hopes that positive user reviews, and proof that Aerobox's products are more durable than traditional aluminium boxes, will persuade airlines to pay a premium for them.
