GUS details demerger plans.

Investors Chronicle, May, 2006

GUS has announced that the demerger of Experian and ARG will be completed in October this year. At 31 March, GUS had net debt of GBP2bn. Experian, once demerged, should have net debt of around GBP1bn, while ARG will be allocated net debt of around GBP200m. The remaining GBP800m will be paid down following a placing of Experian shares.

The announcement on the demerger timing is welcome, and GUS is good value at 960p. analysis of GUS's results.
