Avaya swoops for Ubiquity.

Investors Chronicle, January, 2007

Ubiquity Software has recommended a bid from Avaya, a US networking equipment maker, valuing the company at GBP76.4m. That's an 86.5 per cent premium to the share price before talks were announced in late December at the same time as a profit warning, due to order delays.

With 42 per cent of shareholders having already accepted, and given the high bid premium, this looks like a done deal. Shareholders should take advantage of Avaya's enthusiasm for Ubiquity's communications software and accept the offer.
