Velti would stand out among the technology market's new entrants just for the fact that it turns a profit. But it's also the envy of its peers, due to the presence of tech luminary Nicholas Negroponte on the board. Velti's Greek management all trained at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology under Professor Negroponte, and they are now putting that education to excellent use in mobile marketing and advertising - an industry expected to be worth $11.3bn by 2011.
