FPA' 2007 Environmental Summit.(FPA UPDATE)

FPA's Environmental Summit, held January 25 and 26, opened with a panel discussion on sustainable packaging and its importance to the flexible packaging industry. Jeff Wooster of The Dow Chemical Company explained to attendees what sustainable packaging is and detailed how, and when, it is likely to impact flexible packaging manufacturers. David Allaway of Oregon DEQ shared recent life cycle inventory analysis, and Gwynne Rogers of The Natural Marketing Institute provided consumer insight and anlysis on the importance of sustainability. Ms. Rogers also discussed how sustainability affects the usage of specific products and the packaging of those products.
