Dow announces price increase for polyolefin films in North America.(INDUSTRY NEWS)

The Dow Chemical Company announced a $0.06/lb. price increase across North America for all polyolefin film products, effective April 1, or as soon thereafter as contracts permit.
"Costs of raw materials are placing pressure on polyolefin film prices," said Luiz Stortini, global business director for SARAN Products and Specialty Films. "The brief period of softening raw material prices that we experienced in the last quarter of 2006 is over. Resin prices are beginning to shift up again and negatively impact margins. We remain committed to meeting the industry's needs for high-quality polyolefin films."
Film products affected by the price increase include all grades of DOW Adhesive Films, INTEGRAL Adhesive Films, DOW Low Density Films, TRENCHCOAT...
