GTI Awarded DOE H2 Storage Grant.

Gas Technology Institute (GTI) has been selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to perform nearly $2.5 million of research in innovative hydrogen storage technologies. As part of President Bush's major initiative on hydrogen research, DOE awarded research contracts to 30 lead organizations. GTI will serve as the prime contractor on two projects and as a research partner on a third.

"These research contracts present an opportunity for GTI to provide long-term solutions for hydrogen storage and hydrogen- powered fuel cell vehicles," says Gerry Runte, GTI's Executive Director, Hydrogen Energy Systems Center.
