Aisin opens new Toyota Diecasting facility

Aisin Automotive Casting Tennessee Inc. (Aisin Seiki Co. Ltd.), Clinton, Tenn., opened its new 280,000-sq.-ft. aluminum diecasting facility in October. In addition to the diecasting operation, the facility includes machining and assembly capabilities to produce engine components, such as water pumps, oil pumps and pistons, that will be installed in Toyota Tundras, Tacomas and Camrys.

The new plant is expected to produce up to 400 jobs during the next three years.
