U.S. Army Research Laboratory has awarded the Diaphorm Division of Solectria Corp

Plastics Engineering, Dec, 2002

The U.S. Army Research Laboratory has awarded the Diaphorm Division of Solectria Corp. (Woburn, Mass.) a five-year, $3 million cooperative agreement to investigate the use of proprietary Diaphorm composite performing technology for a variety of military applications. The program would aim to develop "lightweight, lower-cost, environmentally friendly, and more reliable composite materials," says Diaphorm.

It would include proof-of-concept of prototype systems made using the technology and would look into the feasibility of production scale-up.
