TPM&F Division names Best ANTEC Papers

The Thermoplastic Materials & Foams Division of The Society of Plastics Engineers has announced its ANTEC 2005 Best Paper Awards. The winner in the category of Thermoplastic Materials is "New High Impact Miscible Polycarbonate Polyimide Blends," by Robert Gallucci, Mark Sanner, and Paul Sybert; all are employed by GE Advanced Materials, Mt. Vernon, Indiana. The Division's Best Paper Award in the Foams category goes to "Extruded Open-Cell Foams Using Two Semi-Crystalline Polymers with Different Crystallization Temperatures," by Patrick C. Lee, Jin Wang, and Chul B. Park, of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Best Paper Award Chair Perry Vadhar (Research Associate, Cryovac Div./Sealed Air Corp.) presented framed certificates and awarded checks to the authors of both papers.
