Heidenhain Corp. of Schaumburg, Ill., has donated several Heidenhain LIP 400 high-precision linear scales to five universities with mechanical engineering and aerospace programs--the University of Florida, the University of New Mexico, the University of North Carolina, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and the University of Oklahoma.
