The Apprentice

Panel Moderator: Jim Vidakovich American Management Association seminar facilitator and training & development consultant for corporations and studios

Panel: Contestants from the current and past seasons of "The Apprentice"

One of the most popular reality TV shows for the past three seasons has been The Apprentice. The show has been designed to depict business interactions and challenges that frequently occur in "real world" settings. People relate to the show because they have either worked side-by-side with or had to manage similar individuals. As the participants perform their assigned tasks, viewers can observe the management and business successes or mistakes that are made and try to predict what the apprentices outcome will be. The American Management Association, the world's leading membership-based management development organization, has been providing valuable and practical action-oriented learning professionals since 1923. At this session, one of AMA's seminar facilitators, Jim Vidakovich, will direct questions to a panel of "Apprentices" from the TV show. You will hear them discuss what business lessons they learned, what interactions and challenges were played out on their TV tasks that relate to the real-world and how has this reality show experience made a difference in their careers.
