Garth L. Wilkes is University Distinguished Professor (Emeritus) with the Department of Chemical Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. His research has focused on the fundamental and technologically important solid-state morphological features of high volume materials.
Wilkes was instrumental in generating the Virginia Tech Macromolecular Science and Engineering Masters and Doctoral degrees.
