Sharma named to Axel post

Axel Plastics Research Laboratories appointed Dr. Ashutosh Sharma as associate director of research and development. Sharma, who obtained his doctorate in organic chemistry from The University of London in the U.K., has 27 years of experience in the polymer industry.

His expertise in polymer additives was gained in Akzo Nobel, where he served as the technical development manager. More recently, and just prior to joining Axel, Dr. Sharma acted as the global project leader for the surface modification platform at Ciba Specialty Chemicals.
