Polyacrylate elastomers

Rubber World, Fall, 2002

A third polymer in the company's line of low-temperature polyacrylate (ACM) elastomers has been commercialized. AR22 is a higher tensile strength grade of AR12. HyTemp Super ACMs are said to resist heat, cold and transmission fluid. Whether creating compounds for hoses, seals or gaskets, HyTemp Super ACMs can be formulated to withstand an impressive temperature range of -40[degrees]C to 175[degrees]C, with peaks as high as 190[degrees]C, while exhibiting outstanding compression set resistance, according to the company. Three grades of HyTemp Super ACMs are produced, including AR12, AR14 and AR22. (Zeon Chemicals, L.P., 4111 Bells Lane, Louisville, KY 40211)
