SuperMeat rewards supermarket success.(NEWS & INSTALLATIONS)

A Sainsbury's ready meal and a Welsh supermarket are major winners in the SuperMeat Awards (incorporating seafood). Their success in the seventh annual food "Oscars" was unveiled by Channel 4's Jimmy Cart at a ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, on the 29th of June.

Taste, aroma, value, packaging and product information were among the criteria for an independent panel of judges, including representatives of the national Women's Institute, who reviewed more than 100 products. They named Sainsbury's Beef cooked in Ale with Mustard and Thyme Dumplings as the Best Product of the Year. The UK's Best Meat and Seafood Supermarket was named as Asda, of Morrington, Swansea.
