Visual packaging specialists, Clear Packaging of Coventry, have been awarded the BRC/IOP Certificate for Food Packaging. Standards, set by the British Retail Consortium in co-operation with the Institute of Packaging and certified by QA International Certification, include hazard and risk analysis of operations and cover buildings, housekeeping, contamination control and personnel hygiene facilities. Clear Packaging's award follows investment in staff training, refurbishment and upgrading of plant facilities and new work wear for all employees. Working practices have been tightened with continuous improvement of hygiene standards, product quality and safety.
