Thermo Electron Corporation has underlined a relationship spanning some 20 years by supplying a seventh metal detector to Border Biscuits. Unrivalled service standards and advanced technology prompted the shortbread biscuit manufacturer to install the Goring Kerr DSP3 system at its purpose-built plant in Lanarkshire.
This latest inline Goring Kerr DSP3 metal detector is inspecting a variety of different shaped packs of biscuits to ensure they are contaminant free. The unit plays a major part in Border Biscuits' stringent quality control programme, which is constantly monitored and developed to help protect the premium brand. In fact, the company has a further six Thermo metal detectors including a 20-year-old machine--still being used in the factory today....
