Steam trap survey earns rapid payback for Heinz.(NEWS AND INSTALLATIONS)

Energy savings have enabled Heinz to realise payback of less than nine months after investing in a Spirax Sarco steam trap survey and undertaking the resulting remedial work.

The Heinx factory in Wigan is the largest food factory in Europe. The 55-acre site produces canned soups, baked beans, pasta and puddings for the UK and continental European market and its on-site energy centre generates up to 140 tonnes of steam per hour to keep the canning lines running.
