Titanium oxide device for hydrodesulfurization of diesel.(CATALYSTS)

Chiyoda Corp, Japan, has licensed its titanium oxide (titania) catalyst technology for use in ultra deep hydrodesulfurization of diesel oil to Axens, France.

Chiyoda is aiming to supply the catalyst for diesel oil in order to meet sulphur content regulations, which will be reinforced globally in years to come.

To this end, Chiyoda joined a research project sponsored by Japan's New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization and the Japan Petroleum Energy Center, and has investigated titania catalyst for ultra-deep hydrodesulfurization of diesel oil.
