Triumph Group buys Boeing's reinforced thermoplastics operation. (Industry News).

Triumph Group Inc, Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA, has acquired Boeing Co's fabrication operation in Spokane, Washington, USA, which produces composite and non-reinforced thermoplastic aircraft components.

Renamed Triumph Composite Systems Inc, the newly purchased business is projected to bring approximately $60 million of revenue to Triumph for fiscal 2004. About 335 workers at the Spokane plant will become employees of Triumph Composite Systems.

As part of the transaction, Triumph and Boeing have entered into an eight-year, single-source supply agreement for the products currently produced by the Spokane plant.
