Dashboards for Audi and VW use long fibre-reinforced thermoplastics.(AUTOMOTIVE)

Long fibre-reinforced thermoplastics (LFT) from Ticona feature in the newly designed dashboards for the VWGolf and EOS and the Audi A5 Coupe, automobiles. The material (trade name Celstran ) allows easy processing with accurate reproduction of design detail, while also enabling important components such as the passenger airbag to be fully integrated into the dashboard structure.

According to Ticona, while automobile users require aesthetically pleasing and ergonomic interiors to cars, manufacturers and their suppliers additionally require easy processing and efficient production of these parts.
