Committee on Small and Mid-Sized Public Companies (CSMSPC)

Through recruiting efforts in FEI Public Company Express, the new committee has gained four new members: Ron Herbert, Tom Ketteler, Thomas Mangan and Richard Roomberg. The committee will have its inaugural meeting on May 4, at FEI's Summit in Phoenix.

In its first call on March 4, the committee discussed its scope and duties, communications and meetings and "hot topics," which it is currently formulating. These include: tax changes in 2008, XBRL, best practices for small public companies and understanding the risks and benefits of going private.
