ICS, Inc., Jacksonville, Florida, USA-based developer of business software systems, has joined forces with mobile computer and wireless LAN specialist Psion Teklogix to provide a wireless inventory management system to the Port of Corpus Christi Cold Storage, Corpus Christi, Texas.
The system involves hand-held computers and a wireless gateway for the 100,000-square foot state-of-the-art refrigerated facility situated on the Gulf of Mexico that receives, stores and distributes fresh produce, frozen french fries, New Zealand meat and apples, and Australian beef. Psion will integrate its 7,035 freezer computers and 9150T gateway with ICS' LogiMax inventory management system.
