From fast-moving Cherry Garcia Cones (seen at right) to Slow Churned Rich & Creamy Cookies & Cream Light Ice Cream Bars (below) offered by Edy's, retail store cabinets in North America are full of new treats to eat this summer season. South Burlington, Vermont-based Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Inc. now serves up legendary Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia's favorite frozen confectionery in a waffle cone loaded with cherry ice cream, sweet dark cherries and fudge chips, topped off with "extra fudgy chunks." Three units come per 381-ml box, which goes for $4.59.
Oakland, California-based Edy's Grand Ice Cream, a holding of Nestle S.A., says its Cookies & Cream Light Bars boast 48% less fat and one-third fewer calories than "regular ice cream bars." A 532-ml...
