Teller/rep assistance.(IBM's Visual Banker Enterprise software for banks)(Brief Article)

ABA Banking Journal, February, 1999 by Bielski, Lauren

A product that IBM calls Visual Banker Enterprise gives teller and customer service reps in branches or call centers "single-screen" access to sales and service tools and customer data. A rep can bring up a financial analysis tool, cross-selling aid, and a detailed customer view on her screen at the same time without having to change applications.

The product uses the Java language which is object-based and thus offers flexible programming options. Visual Banker can work with full-function personal computers or "thin clients"-less-powerful computers that rely more on a central server.
