Outsourcing raised a ruckus in the media about a year ago. More recently, the subject was touched on in a book by Thomas Friedman called The World is Flat, A brief history of the 21st Century (he of The Lexus and the Olive Tree: Understanding Globalization fame). Citing the international workforce's wage dampening impact here in the U.S., the book stimulated chatter at the water cooler and fed a certain breed of blogger--and pundit--since its early spring publish date.
