Ecuador and Cuba were to sign an agreement by the end of November to expand, diversify and promote free trade between the two countries, the press in Quito reported on November 12, according to Xinhua news agency. The Ecuadoran Industry and Commerce Ministry said that bilateral negotiations for trade between Ecuador and Cuba are progressing, and a list of about 460 two-way trade items has been compiled. Ecuador intends to enter the Cuban market with some 330 articles, including textiles and clothing, food, edible oil, cocoa, home appliances, and cosmetic products.
