Hilton International has signed an agreement to operate its first hotel in the Bahamas, reports CANA (May 30, 1998). The 290-room British Colonial Hilton Nassau will be managed on behalf of its owners, Toronto-based, RHK Capital following a US$50 million renovation. Located in the center of Nassau, the hotel (a prominent landmark building) will primarily target business travelers, but also has its own private beach front, says David Jarvis, CEO of Hilton International.

Other Hilton properties in the Caribbean are located in Barbados; Puerto Rico; St. Lucia; Tobago and Trinidad
