WESTERN BANK EXPANDS. Westernbank inaugurated its third mega branch in Puerto Rico's Condado sector, bringing the number of branches it operates locally to 53, reports Caribbean Business (Dec. 29, 2005). The 10,000 sq ft branch features seven drive-through windows and 90 parking spaces. Aybar & Imbert were the architects; Bachman Designs, Ohio-based, handled interior design.

Western Bank's parent company is W. Holding Co. Inc., which reported more than US$15.7 billion in assets during 3Q 2005.
