US$500 million Brazil fuel oil sale.(Brief article)

Petroleo Brasileiro SA, Brazil's state- controlled oil company, will sell US$500 million of fuel oil to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA), the state-controlled energy generator, reports Bloomberg (May 29, 2006). Petrobras will provide PREPA with 9.5 million barrels of fuel with a 0.5% sulfur content from June 2006 through May 2007, to power thermo-electric power plants, the company said.
