A US$10 million loan is being sought from the World Bank for the Second HIV/AIDS Project. The objective is to support Government's efforts to: (a) enhance coverage and quality of appropriate HIV prevention interventions targeting those at high risk as well as the general population; (b) provide early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment, care and support for persons infected with the virus; (c) reduce the degree of stigma and discrimination associated with the disease; and (d) strengthen the collection and the use of reliable data to guide and monitor program implementation and to evaluate the impact of the program.
