Subsea pipelines contract.(TRINIDAD & TOBAGO)

Paris-based Technip on Dec. 18 said it has been awarded by the National Gas Co. of Trinidad & Tobago Ltd a services contract to install two offshore pipelines. Technip's Houston, Tex. center will execute the contract which covers front-end engineering design (FEED), subsea, land surveying and environmental permitting services, project management and construction management.

A large diameter pipeline will connect the BHP Billiton facility in Block 2c off Trinidad's northeast coast to NGC's existing pipeline network. Another pipeline will connect the BHP Billiton facility to the south coast of Tobago to supply gas for a power generation plant under construction by NGC.
