US$500 million power plant order.(EL SALVADOR)

South Korea's Posco Engineering & Construction Co., a unit of Posco, said it has received a US$500 million order to build a 260-megawatt coal-fired powered plant in El Salvador, reports Dow Jones (March 7, 2008). Posco said it received the order from AES Fonseca, a unit of U.S. energy company AES Corp. (AES). Construction will begin in July and will take 38 months to complete, it said.
