The World Bank approved US$80 million to support government rehabilitation efforts after Tropical Storms Noel (Oct.) and Olga (Dec.), reports DR1 Daily News (May 2, 2008). The funds will also be used to strengthen the management capacity of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INDRHI) and the Dominican Corp. of State Electrical Companies (CDEEE).
