BACARDI CLEANING UP. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Bacardi Corp. reached an agreement that spells out resolution of Clean Water Act violations at Bacardi's rum manufacturing facility in Catano, reports Caribbean Business (Nov. 5, 2005). Under a consent decree approved by the US District Court for Puerto Rico, Bacardi paid a US$550,000 penalty, and will donate and preserve land valued at US$1 million.
