ADIDAS BEGINS OPERATIONS. Less than a month since the opening of its second Adidas Performance Store in Mayaguez, the German sporting-goods maker also decided to establish Adidas Puerto Rico, to oversee the chain's expansion plans, reports Caribbean Business (Oct. 16, 2008). Slated to begin operations in mid-November is the chain's third location, in Barceloneta's Prime Outlets, said Robert Nemlin, marketing director for Central America & the Caribbean.
