Americans are hooked on pepperoni pizza and devour 251,770,000 pounds of pepperoni each year, according to Domino's Pizza. Although pepperoni pizza is No. 1 in the United States, pizza lovers around the world prefer other toppings. They include:

* Australians like pizza topped with garlic prawns, calamari and crabmeat.

* A pizza in Paris will probably include creme fraiche, eggs and goat cheese.

* In Ireland, onions, green peppers, pepperoni, ham, sausage, spicy beef, mushrooms, sweet corn and pineapple is the topping of choice.

* Canadians prefer dollar coin-shaped pieces of spicy ground beef, cheese and a white sweet sauce called Donair.

* The English enjoy barbecue sauce, chicken, smoky bacon, onions and green peppers...
