Non-dairy soy-based tofu and soy milk can be added to one's diet when increasing calcium intake to prevent osteoporosis, according to the Mayo Clinic. Tofu contains about 130 milligrams of calcium in a 4-oz. serving. When processed with calcium salts, tofu can contain as much as 300 milligrams.

One cup of soymilk with added calcium also can provide up to 300 milligrams of calcium. A daily calcium intake of 1,200 milligrams is recommended for men and women over age 50.
