Irving M. Levine.(donation to Northeastern University)(Brief Article)

Public Works, September, 2001

Irving M. Levine, vice chairman and founder of Multiquip Inc. (Carson, California), recently announced plans to donate $1.3 million to Northeastern University (Boston, Massachusetts), his alma mater. Levine, a 1957 civil engineering graduate, appearing at a university ceremony celebrating his gift said, "Since I've been blessed in so many ways, it is extremely important to me to give back to society.

My contribution to Northeastern is satisfying because it was such a special place for kids of immigrant or poor families. Northeastern truly gave us a chance to succeed. I was only the second college graduate in my entire family."
