WIND ENERGY CAPACITY RISES TO 10,000 MW WORLDWIDE, SAYS IEA STUDY.

Sometime this month world-wide wind energy capacity will reach 10,000 MW - a record, says a new study published by the Paris-based International Energy Agency (IEA). "Another demonstration that wind is the fastest - growing of all renewable energy sources", says the IEA. The landmark figure for wind energy use was announced at the end of April at a meeting in Madrid of the Executive Committee of the IEA.
