Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedICELAND POWER GROUP SIGNS DEAL WITH ALSTOM HYDRO.(Company Business and Marketing)(Brief Article)

Iceland's state power company Landsvirkjun signed a final contract with France's Alstom Hydro over the construction of a hydro-electric project Vatnsfell, company spokesman Thorsteinn Hilmarsson said. Engineering group Alstom Hydro was the lowest bidder in a tender process and won the contract for 300 million Kronor.
The contract involves the supervision of civil works and erection of electromechanical equipment, gates and penstocks for the Vatnsfell project. Mr Hilmarsson said this deal now meant that contractors have been hired for all the parts of the construction process for Vatnsfell which is located in the highlands of Southern Iceland.
