SIEMENS REBUFFS FRAMATOME ALLIANCE TALKS REPORT.

German industrial group Siemens AG said on September 25 it was interested in finding a partner to boost its nuclear energy business but rebuffed reports it was in alliance talks with France's Framatome. Although Siemens was open to the possibility of forming an alliance in its nuclear industry business it had not held talks with potential partners, a company spokesman said after a German newspaper reported Siemens was in alliance talks with Framatome.

Negotiations between Siemens and Framatome on a Franco-German nuclear energy alliance were at an advanced stage, newspaper Die Welt reported in its Saturday edition.
