COP6: Continuing disagreements.Focused on the Kyoto Protocol on reducing greenhouse gas emissions the COP6 meeting is "the last chance to revive the Kyoto Protocol. And yet six weeks before it starts, the major countries and groups of countries are still split over how to apply the international agreement".

So said the Dutch Environment Minister, Jan Pronk, in a statement he made on 5 October in Muiden, the Netherlands. He is due to chair the Ministerial meeting in November.
