Europe is a global leader in eco-innovation, but it often fails to convert ideas and patents into investments. Researchers from across the European Union tend to look elsewhere, in particular the United States, to get their funding and bypass European structures entirely. That is the main finding of a study by the international business school INSEAD and the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium, unveiled on 21 February at the European Business Summit in Brussels.
