The Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC) is a group of municipal officials that work with the Environmental Protection Agency on local environmental concerns. The LGAC met in Aug 1995 to discuss, among other issues, the roles of local, state, and federal governments.
"This is an opportunity we as local officials should use to help EPA understand the local perspective about how to make environmental protection work better," said Hyattsville (Maryland) Council Vice President Lucille Brogden. Brogden chairs the Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources (EENR) Committee and is a member of the Local Government Advisory Committee.
