NLC to help identify policing standouts.(National League of Cities)

The National Institute of Justice, in its campaign to discover innovative methods of community policing, has authorized the National League of Cities to assist in the search. The subject of public safety echoes the primary theme of NLC's Pres Carolyn Long Banks' tenure in office.
NLC has been selected as a grantee for a project on public safety, funded through the Justice Department's National Institute of Justice, which will focus on ways to search for innovations in community policing.
