Congress of Cities Program Committee meets in Nashville.

Members of the 2003 Congress of Cities Program Committee focused on the first-time attendee mentor program, mobile workshops and the importance of highlighting the host city during a two-day planning session at the Opryland Resort and Conference Center in Nashville April 4-5.

The committee was tasked with coming up with ideas to make the conference better than ever and provide direction on essential issues/topics for sessions. Audwin Samuel, councilmember, Beaumont, Tex., served as chair and Margaret Finlay, councilmember, Duarte, Calif., and Rene Flowers, councilmember, St. Petersburg, Fla., served as vice chairs of the committee.
