NLC member testifies before Congress on brownfields reauthorization.

House Democrats began laying the groundwork for reauthorizing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) brownfields program by holding a hearing before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment. Matt Zone, council member from Cleveland, presented the local government perspective on the importance of the brownfields program.
"Local governments rightly approach brownfields redevelopment as an economic development activity.
